The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation
The Wonder Years have announced the release date for their new album, The Greatest Generation, to be released via Hopeless Records. The highly anticipated album will be released May 14th. TWY was also kind enough to release the tracklist (below) so we can all salivate over the song names while waiting for the middle of May.
Tracklist :
01. There, There 02. Passing Through a Screen Door 03. We Could Die Like This 04. Dismantling Summer 05. The Bastards, The Vultures, The Wolves 06. The Devil in My Bloodstream 07. Teenage Parents 08. Chaser 09. An American Religion (FSF) 10. A Raindance in Traffic 11. Madelyn 12. Cul-de-sacs 13. I Just Want to Sell Out My Funeral
TWY and Daft Punk releasing albums in the same month? I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself! Keep an eye out ‘cos I’m sure pre-orders and what not will be announced soon. TWY is also playing all of this year’s Warped Tour.

Music Music Music

So as I’ve said in four or five posts lately I’ve been listening to a lot of music lately. Well it went from fun and exciting to fun, exciting, and frustrating.

Frustrating?

Yes.

How can I listen to all of this music? Balance and Composure’s Separation is still played daily, The Wonder Years’ Suburbia I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing is thrown into the mix often, Handguns’ Don’t Bite Your Tongue EP drops by every now and then, City and Colour’s Little Hell is nightly sleeping music, I picked up the Foo Fighters’ Wasting Light and that’s really good, my most recent purchase August Burns Red’s Leveler is awesome, and tomorrow Set Your Goals’ Burning At Both Ends drops.

Ridiculous.

I hope you guys are enjoying music this year as much as I am. And to the artists/bands making the music: thanks. Your music, more often than not, means the world to me. Music, my friends, and my girlfriend are literally getting me through this year.

Love and Music,

Zach

Fireworks & The Wonder Years

I love both of their new albums. Fireworks’ latest being Gospel, and The Wonder Years recently (today) released Suburbia I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing. While TWY may be winning the award for longest album name I actually prefer Fireworks’ album a bit more. They’re both great pop/punk albums, there’s no arguing that. But my personal preference has me leaning more in favor of the boys from Detroit.

You should pick up both albums A) to support great bands that make great music and B) to let your ears have fun.

That is all,

Zach

P.S. While on the topic of pop/punk, Handguns’ Don’t Bite Your Tongue EP is good as well. It’s only seven songs, and it’s not as polished as the above mentioned albums. But it is definitely worth numerous listens and a shoutout, and not just because I follow Handguns on tumblr (and vice versa). Peace.
